MTV Europe Music Awards 2017
For the 2017 MTV EMAs U2 took over Trafalgar Square for an emotionally charged performance of their latest single Get Out of Your Own Way.
The set design echoed Nelson's Column in the form of 18 vertical LED columns. Known as the site of many historical protests, much of the content used a bold visual language inspired by protest artwork.
